You Can Help!
SCMI support comes from the ten consortium universities, from contracts and grants for use of SCMI vessels, facilities and educational services, and from gifts and donations of vessels, equipment and services. As a non-profit, public-benefit corporation, SCMI must seek additional support if its full potential is to be realized.
SCMI welcomes support from individuals, families, foundations, and businesses that recognize the important roles that education and a healthy ocean play in our daily lives.
The donation of your yacht, boat or marine equipment can provide real benefits to the advancement of marine science and education of our young people, and leave a legacy for future generations.

The donation of your yacht, boat or marine equipment will help support the marine science and environmental programs of SCMI and the ten affiliated universities. SCMI can utilize your vessel for college-level scientific and educational purposes. Support is also needed to bolster our marine monitoring program, which emphasizes water quality testing of local waters with a focus on training volunteer monitors from other groups.
Your donation additionally will help support SCMI’s K-12 education programs, reaching thousands of students through field trips to the facility and on the vessels.
